About this property

Welcome to Station on the Riverwalk

Station on the Riverwalk is an industrial-chic boutique hotel uniquely housed in a former police station and jail in downtown Pueblo, Colorado. The distinctive jail-themed rooms, or “cells,” blend quirky style with modern comforts such as air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. Guests can enjoy amenities like on-site dining options, a bar, and free parking, while the smoke-free and pet-friendly environment adds to its practical appeal.

Located at 140 Central Main St, the property sits directly on the lively Pueblo Riverwalk. This setting offers easy access to local attractions including the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk promenade, Pueblo Zoo, and El Pueblo History Museum. Restaurants, bars, and boat tours are within walking distance, creating a dynamic environment well suited to visitors interested in exploring Pueblo’s history and vibrant riverfront scene.

Guest feedback highlights the comfortable beds and the hotel’s distinctive atmosphere, with many appreciating the themed rooms and proximity to nightlife. Some reviews note the older building’s quirks, such as slow hot water and occasional noise from nearby bars. The hotel operates with a text-based service model and lacks certain facilities like a fitness center or airport shuttle, which may be considerations for some travelers.

Ideal for guests seeking a boutique experience with character and a central location, Station on the Riverwalk caters well to those interested in a memorable stay rather than standard corporate accommodations. Its accessible features and family-friendly policy further broaden its appeal, making it a practical choice for a wide range of visitors to Pueblo.

This is my favorite place to stay, by far. Station is a themed boutique hotel sharing the former Pueblo city jail building with The Clink Lounge and Brues Alehouse. The three combined is a vacation in itself, but is also located on the Pueblo Riverwalk with shops and restaurants along a scenic easy walk. The hotel itself is fun and quirky with really nice people. This is a boutique hotel quirks included, so if you are the kind of person that prefers a soulless corporate experience, this probably isn't the hotel for you. Otherwise I would recommend experience this awesome little hotel!

Really nice spot on the Riverwalk. We stayed in cell 1. Nice outside patio to sit and relax. Comfy bed, good AC and nice towels. Shower is rain type in a tub, but will be converted to a walk in which is great because hard to get in and out. Coffee is pouring over and I had my own grinds, which is recommend as the supplied were just avg. They should have better cream options, as was just creammate suger free vanilla. An interesting concept, for sure. Judy was nice as we got an early checkin. But not much of a live presence in the lobby.

Rooms: 5 Service: via text, responsive, no front desk attendant Location: historic downtown Pueblo on the Riverwalk, great location The Hotel: Reimagined old police station/jail. The rooms, or “cells” are themed to a jail with cheeky do not disturb hangers, and boutique style. The beds and pillows are super comfy. Personal robes. Amenities: none. The Clink is advertised as a trendy bar but it was not open when we stayed there (Friday-Sunday). But the Brewhaus is downstairs and is fabulous. Try the fig and goat cheese burger–you won’t be sorry! Take a stroll on the Riverwalk and you can easily walk to restaurants like B Street Cafe and Fuel and Iron (10-15 minutes). Free parking is across the street. These are not cons but know this: it’s an old building…a jail. Hot water takes awhile to heat up, the temperature in the room is fixed at 72* F, there are no snack machines, no pool, the ice maker is a portable ice marker in the hall that will never make enough ice for 5 rooms, and we stayed in cell 5 so we could hear the music at the bar, however, it turned off by 10:30 every night. It wasn’t an issue. Pros: This boutique hotel is nice. It’s unique. Right across the street from the music hall, easy access to cool and unique places to see and eat. Downtown Pueblo is clean and feels safe to walk at night. The Riverwalk hosts movies nights once a month.

Fun hotel, loved the jail themed room. I was there on a Friday night and there was a bit of intrusive noise from the bar next door. But it was more or less quiet from 1030pm. The location next to the Riverwalk was really good. The Riverwalk was a lovely spot for an evening stroll, with lots of nightlife, families out walking about. Some pretty nice restaurants and bars with outdoor seating. The Clink bar at the hotel was excellent. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. I made a note of the mattress maker in case I can get one for my home. Staff were good when you could locate them. I would definitely recommend the hotel, especially as a romantic getaway or if you like a room with a theme. I had Cell 2. It was great

Super cute hotel and the bed was the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in. The room was clean and the added touched like the fireplace was nice. I would definitely stay again. I would agree with previous post that it was a little pricey and the photo of Cell 2 shows a bathtub (which was the main reason that I chose this room), but there was not actually a tub but a shower. This is why I am giving 4 starts instead of 5.

I adore the unique and take the time to seek them. 10 stars in my book, super cool almost inclusive boutique hotel. Fantastic bed and pillows, cool night life bar and a nice restaurant, bakery and coffee bar.

Awesome little eclectic hotel. Great concept of being actual historic jail! We stayed in cell 2. Best hotel location to riverwalk and easy access to EV chargers across the street.

The Station is a wonderful little boutique hotel that you won't want to miss. Snuggled up next to the Riverwalk and right in the middle of Old Pueblo, the charm of this place is first class. A shame the giant garden tub wasn't operational, but the overhead shower was perfectly fine. We weren't expecting the giant tub anyway so it wasn't a huge issue. Beds are VERY soft & plush so if you have back issues be forewarned. We stayed on a Sunday, so the downstairs bar, The Clink, was closed but it also looked very charming and inviting. Definitely recommend this hotel. There are eateries all over nearby for any price range - mid to high range if you eat on the Riverwalk, lower if you go for fast food (of which there is plenty). Earlier check-ins if needed & the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Smokers: These are non-smoking rooms and Pueblo is no smoking in public areas so be prepared. (Smoking in the rooms incurs a huge extra fee so save yourself a headache and abide by the rules.
